1. Sometimes It Pays Not To See!
Bobby Guffey left his reading glasses at home when he went to the convenience store and it cost the state of Indiana $3 million. Click here to find out why.
2. Computer Killing Your Eyes?
Using a computer places a unique set of demands on vision, and if your eyes aren't up to the challenge, it can be pretty stressful.
With more than 4 out of 5 computer users reporting eyestrain and other vision problems, everyone agrees that something must be done.
Here's a set of exercises from a company that works for the U.S. government. I don't agree with everything they recommend (for example, their 20/20/20 rule is all wrong), but I'm sure that your eyes will start to feel better and see better if you incorporate their suggestions into your awareness. Click here to see them.
(If you want to know more about what I recommend, check out the book I co-wrote, Total Health at the Computer. Click here.)
3. Athletes Do Vision Training
Athletes looking for every competitive advantage they can find have been turning to vision training to improve their performance.
How easily an athlete can follow a moving object (think tennis), how quickly your eyes can jump from one point to another (think football), how big your peripheral awareness is (think basketball) - these are a few of the visual skills that can be improved through training.
