The Dangers of LASIK

The promise of laser surgery for nearsightedness might seem enticing. A few hours at the doctor's office, and then - Presto! You've got perfect vision for the rest of your life.

I know it sounds too good to be true: Unfortunately, for many people, it is.

There are more than 50,000 complications from laser surgery every year.

Outlook, Insight and Eyesight

Research linking nearsightedness and personality dates back to the early 1900s. I'm a firm believer in the connections between inner vision and outer sight (it's one of the fundamental tenets of my work), so when researcher Katherine Yarboro asked for help with her research project, I was ready to give it!
